The Lab

Things I tinker with.

Not every idea belongs on a resume. This is where the odd, playful, just-for-fun experiments live, all in plain JavaScript and Canvas, with no libraries.

Experiment
  • flow-field.js Noise-driven particle field
  • maze.js Generate and solve a maze
  • sort-sonic.js Hear sorting algorithms
  • bounce.js Click to drop bouncy balls
flow-field.js

Thousands of particles following an invisible wind map, built on simplex noise I wrote by hand. Press Start to set them moving.

maze.js

A maze carved with a recursive backtracker, then solved live — green is the start, red the exit. Press Start to watch it run.

sort-sonic.js
Comparisons 0
Swaps 0

The browser version of my Algo-Sonic, with sound from the Web Audio API. Turn your sound on, pick an algorithm and press Start: bubble sort sounds busy, merge sort sounds rhythmic.

bounce.js
Balls 0

Click or tap anywhere to drop a ball — they fall, bounce and bump into each other. Try Rain, then Shake.
